Pay
Online
When you click pay online, you can either pay your account with a credit card or by E-Check (electronic check). Either way your account is instantly credited as if you walked into our office and made payment. There is currently a $1.00 convenience fee with each E-Check transaction. There is a $750 limit and a $3.25 convenience fee with each credit card transaction.
MEC offers E-Check and credit card payments as a service in partnership with Southeastern Data Cooperative (SEDC), a secure, third-party payment processor for MEC and other utilities.
Here are
a number of other ways to pay your bill
Bank
Draft
This
is the easiest and most economical way to pay your bill, both for
you and the cooperative. The amount of your bill is automatically
deducted from your checking account on your bill's due date. You
still receive a copy of your bill for your records, but you'll never
have to worry about paying your bill on time again. Call to sign
up.
Levelized
Billing
You
will always pay the average of your electric bill from the previous
12 month period. It takes the sting out of higher bills and you
pay almost the same amount each month. Call your local office or
drop us an e-mail to sign up today.
By
Mail
Of
course you can always mail a check to pay your bill. Just make sure
you mail it in time to get to our office by the due date to prevent
penalties. You may want to consider bank draft to save that postage
with no worry about due dates and penalties.
In
Person
You
are always welcome to come in to any of our offices to pay your
bill, but if you are thinking about saving time and gasoline, consider
bank draft.
E-bill
If
you would like to receive your bill each month by e-mail, sign up
and your bill will be there like clockwork. Then if you wish, you
can pay online with a few short clicks.
